FACISC, under the leadership of Mr. Sergio Matte (head of International Relations)  has welcomed the Ambassador of Romania, Ms. Monica Stirbu and her Advisor Mr. Florian, accompanied by Mr. Edson Dreher, Consul General of Romania in Santa Catarina, on July 5, 2022. Maysa Fischer has attended, representing the International Business Chapter of ACIJ – Joinville Entrepreneurs Association. The country’s strengths were highlighted, such as reduced taxation in relation to other European Union Member Countries (Corporate Tax of 16% and Withholding Tax on the distribution of dividends of only 5%) in addition to other incentives under the EU regulation for investments in the country as of EUROS 1 million. As for the export opportunities for Santa Catarina companies, the country demands the import of furniture, textiles, plastics, pharmaceuticals, food and automotive parts.
